Enlarged Left Tonsil, No Pain, Feeling Worn Out

I dont know what the deal is, but I am worried sick because every search of one swollen tonsil brings up cancer.

I am only 20 years old, but this one tonsil has been kinda swollen for about a month now. It does not take up half of my mouth like some of those pictures you see show, but its swollen and has tonsil stones.

Along with it, lately i have felt some general malaise. No sore throat at all though.

Can you calm my fears a little bit? I have always had issues with my tonsils and sore throat, but its weird for one to be swollen and not painful.

I also had a random week bout of what seemed to be post nasal drip, lots of phelgm and clearing of the throat but no other problems.
 
It's possible you could simply have a case of strep throat or tonsilitis and need some antibiotics to clear it up. Go to your doctor and let him/her have a look. Anytime your body is fighting an infection you're going to feel worn out. I think it's way too early to be thinking 'doom and gloom.' Hang in there and get better soon!!

I recently had this, also my tonsils also looked like they have blood vessles on them, I was really scared. I had a fever randomly a couple days before this symptom developed. I was also scared. I had a sinus infection that was worse on the right side (since the right tonsil is part of the lymph system, it was the one to get more swollen, from that infection. As Soibhan said, best to let a doctor look at it. The doctor who looked at mine said immediately that it needed an antibiotic. Don't worry needlessly :) Get lots of rest and fluids and hopefully you will be better soon!
