For english I needed an ode in poem form. a min. of 200 words and with 3 different sensory details.
So can you just honestly tell what you liked, didn't like, and parts that may have been a bit confusing. And also, any suggestions. Thanks.
Repeating History
In 2002, like Columbus, I had to journey somewhere new.
When I first stepped foot on this land I was mesmerized by its arid calmness.
Much unlike the hectic civilization that I was used to.
You were the native, who spoke in your twisted tongues.
You showed me your perplexing ways in this unfamiliar land.
And like history says, we became best friends.
But I had become a slave to this new place. I had conformed
into captivity. I couldn't break free and be an individual
It was a mixture of no voice and weakness that kept me in chains.
But you rang the sweet bellowing sound of liberity,
and you forever signed my freedom;
you gave me opportunity.
But our first world war had started to stir, which ended miserably for both
Soon came world war two, sweet revenge is what I tasted.
I the German and you, the Jew. But then you exploded with rage,
and the war was over. You made me see the error of my ways, and helped me change.
Strangely, we became even closer this way.
But, I guess the purpose of all war is peace.
With our newly found grace period, we could laugh and cry together.
We learned everything about each other and we didn't need anybody else.
But our time abruptly came to an end; it hit us like a hurricane
You were violently washed away in one swift wave.
When you will be back, I'm not sure, but you will.
Until then I will be here waiting, for our history to start all over again.
So can you just honestly tell what you liked, didn't like, and parts that may have been a bit confusing. And also, any suggestions. Thanks.
