Engine Temeprature Increase

Welcome, fly. Your engine temps may be up due to a leaner mixture. You don't state what year they are (fill out your profile!), so I don't know whether they're EFI or carbed. Opening the exhaust without performing a similar adjustment to the induction can cause lean mix and higher temps. It could also be due to other factors, such as weather. In any case, those temps are nothing to be alarmed over.

There's nothing magical about sportbike engines. Synthetic of an appropriate weight is just fine for them as it is for any other four-stroke engine. Search the forum a bit for gobs of info on oil.

Thank you Rowdy. I have a 2006 GSXR 1000, and my wife has a 2005 GSXR 600 (profile updated). Is it worth it to purchase a DynoJet Power Commander? Thanks again

In that case, I'd surely have thought that the computer would compensate. We have other members who know more about that than I do.
