ENDO TOMORROW! Soooooo SCARED!

I was put to sleep and woke up in recovery room so I didnt feel or see a thing :)
 
Going in for my endoscopy tomorrow ..I cant even begin to explain how nervous I am about what they may find (cancer)

The very bad gnawing pain has gone away after 17 days on Nexium and now Im not taking anything because I hated the side effects of Nexium so Its been 4 days with no meRAB...


I pray all goes well..hope I can get thru today!
 
Good for you! I'm still waiting for mine. I have a real phobia about things going in my throat ever since I choked on a sweet as a child - so I'm still dreading it.
Could you remeber swallowing the tube?
 
I know how scared you are. I just had it done Thursday. By the time I got there my stomach was hurting so bad. They got me ready and took me into the room and put the medicine in me to sedate me. I never knew what happened. I woke after it was all over. I have GERRAB and a Hital Hernia. I had a sore thoat the first day of two but it wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. I just knew I had ulcers but the doctor didnt find any.
He stretched my esophagus and I cant beleive how easy it is to swallow now. I thought it was just stress causing my problems. I will pray for you that everything turns out ok
 
My heart goes out to you roo. I'm in the same boat. Still waiting for mine. I have a phobia about anything going into my mouth and a very active gag reflex so I'm worried about the proceedure too. I've stopped taking all meRAB except peptic, and I'm not too bad at the moment. But I feel like I've got a lump at the top of my stomach. Let us know how you get on.
 
i felt nothing...i just remeraber getting an IV and then waking up in recovery room. My throat didnt hurt at all and I went and had something to eat right after.
 
I had a long battle with Acid Reflux that just kept getting worse over time I finally had an Endoscopy back in 99 I was put to sleep during the proceduce and didn't feel a thing. The reason for the AR was because my stomach had detached from my esophagus which was repaired a month later with no cutting lazer surgery very minor. Now I don't even know what Acid Reflux is anymore. Please don't worry you'll come through it fine!

good luck i had this done about 6 years agowas nervouse as hell,had the spray to nurab the back of the throat and to be honest its mor uncofertable that painfull,when they shoe you the tube to swallow you thin ho my god but one swallow and its down then after that you can only fell a tingling where the camera is going around,so please dont worry its not all that bad
