Enchanced version of 3120 = 4120

From the info provided to me, the new 4100 has a set RCA cables, S-video connection, a RF modulated coxial connection & Dolby digital audio connection.

Among new features, i also understand it supports closed caption (as in the one u find in the 6100's).

Greg...

It appears that way. I don't buy PPV movies but, there doesn't seem to be a lot that is DD 5.1. Someone correct me if I'm wronr. I would have expected more.

So what does this double the nvram mean to the average joe? more room to store GUIDE info?

GregoriusM I personally recommend the 4100 because it is more stable. The 3200 is a limited edition model which software updates are not looking promising for. If you have an amplifier with DD5.1 optical connections it is another reason to get this model. There is a 3200 for sale on Ebay however (Item number: 5819404987).

Hi.... I'm planning to switch to BEV from cable this fall and was looking at getting a 5920 for our main TV and a 3100 for the second TV. I was also going to a second basic receiver for our cottage. Now that the 3100 is gone and the 4100 is here as the basic model, will it still work at the cottage since I don't have a phone line and since it is cardless?

I'd hate to go through the whole process and find out that it is just going to be a hassle for the basic receivers.

Thanks, Falcon. I'm going to wait for the 4100.

I have a Marantz receiver that does 5.1/7.1, so this is the one for me.

None in the city right now. Not even an SKU for it.

I hope I can get it installed within a month or so, though, because that darn snow is a'comin!

Well, I bought the 4120. I've been looking at Satellite for years. I've always used Shaw cable.

No more analogue for me.

I'm crossing my fingers that my experience is a positive one!

I have a 4100 anyone know how to get rid of the black horizontal bars at the top and bottom of the picture on most channels???? thanks

that is the dish model, i've seen that one, i know some people have the bell model which is midified wih dd5.1 optical n other enhanced outputs, thats what i ment. thanks tho:)

It does not matter what model of receiver you have. You can bring any of them over to your cottage. I'd recommend you get a 4100 over the 3100. It works much better, includes dolby digital optical output and the current firmware is very stable.

does anyone know of a good place to get a used 4100 in the west. Ebay is not where i want to buy.

thanks

So, is there no more 3200? It is not on Bell's website?

Any info on a 4200 with 2 tuners?

Just buy it new they are cheap... 99$ not to bad. Plus you get a 1 year warranty and and a new remote which also has a 1 year warranty.
