Forgive me if this has been posted b4.

After I run Emule 4 no matter how long, could be 5 mins or 5 hours it doesnt seem 2 matter, after I close Emule my internet connection Freezes when I click disconnect, it just sits there saying disconnecting, if I try 2 Reboot it will get 2 "saving you're settings" and stop there. (Im using Windows XP) andyone else had this or something similar?

i know that didnt help but iv never heard of that prob b4 so i have no idea, try looking for virises, and then try reinstalling (if u have d/ls going move temp files b4 uninstalling)

what kind of net connection do you have?
cable?
broadband?
adsl?
dsl?
dial up?

if dial up i recommend not using emule.

scan ur pc for adware...even though emule doesnt come with it

My Internet Connection is BT Broadband, I have no problems with it in Windows 98SE but then I havnt got Emule Installed in Windows 98SE, only in Windows XP.

I had the same problem with BT broadband, and their supplied modem (BT voyager USB ADSL modem)

In the end I bought a different modem and that solved the problem

Edit: I don't think BT's modem can handle many simultaneous connections

thats not exactly what i wanted 2 hear but at least now i know what is the most likly cause

Edit: So thanks anyway bud, if anyone else has anything 2 share please do cause i had trouble with dialup in XP at 1 point as well.
