Emule, Best Version

ok, having another corrupt download I have decided to install emule. But there's so many versions and mods that I'm not sure what one to get. Can someone tell me the best one and where to get it from please?

i use emule plus, can be found at http://emuleplus.sourceforge.net
however some prefer the LSD, LoveLace, and SivkaMod versions.
Its all preference really.

start with the standard version! then you will know better what sort of mod you'd like to use. (if any)

i use the latest Sivka myself.

ok thanks. So there is only one version and you can get mods for it which add extra features?

pretty much. you download the latest emule installer. if you later want to use a mod, you simply download the mod's binaries and replace the emule.exe.

Does that mean that I dont have to reinstall emule when I want to try another mod?

just download the binary,
rename the emule.exe to a diff name in case you want to use the first emule later on
then drop it in the existing emule folder.

That should be all.

But sometimes the mods will mess around with the columns when you back and forth between them though.
