I am planning on starting the process to become a police officer in September but I have some serious concerns about my job history, which is an important part of the hiring process. I've only had one job in my life. It was for a solid year, but I am rather sure that I accomplished a lot during that year. I am confident that the references from that job will give me very good reviews and I was one of only two people out of a small staff to get a raise. There are more good things that I felt I did at this job, but school caused me to leave because handling both was getting a bit stressful. Now, I am trying to find another job, but it is near impossible, and I don't have much time left. How screwed am I for the Police hiring process in terms of employment history if I'm not able to find another job?
And if only police officers or people knowledgeable about the process could answer, it would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
