Empire total war bug no objects on map or in game?

When i start empire total war everything is fine but when i play a campaign there are no buildings no cities ports or farms not even trees and when I'm fighting my troops don't have any weapons does anyone know what to do i don't want to delete it cause i have a many dlc's downloaded. If i do reinstall it would i still have my downloaded content? any help would be appreciated
