I have a Kingston 2GB flash drive. Up until tonight it was working fine. Now when I plug it in the computer does not even read it, nothing pops up. I have tried it on 3 different computers, I have a ton of important files on it! I have taken it out of its caddy, is there anything I can do to recover my files?!
It was working fine yesterday. First of all, I always click "safely remove hardware" and stop before ever unplugging my flash drive. Secondly, I don't have a personal home computer I use my school's library for that, therefore I cannot backup my files on to anything but my flash drive, that is its purpose. No it is not wet nor could it have gotten wet or damaged. It has been sitting in the same protective case it always does, no one has touched it but me.
