I have everything but the kitchen sink in my truck, but I was looking to make a small, cheap emergency kit for my friend's who has a new RAV4. Here is what I have to put in it, but I was wondering if you guys had more suggestions, or hear what you like to keep in your kits. Remember, it has to be cheap, simple, and useful.
Folding knife
Lighter
Those little candles that don't blow out
Emergency blanket
Needle and thread
Tape
Medical gauss
Antibiotic ointment
Sardines
String/Cord/Wire
Reading material (survival instructions and advice)
sodium dichoroiosyanurate pills (water purification)
Tin for warming cooking melting etc
Anything in particular that I am missing that would go into a small car kit for cheap? Was thinking total cost under 30 dollars, and I can get all the above for around 20. Would like to hear your thoughts. Thanks.
