Email Notification Light on Nokia E62

MyMail is notoriously irregular about this. Mine worked without a hitch with BlackBerry Connect and Mail for Exchange on the e62 but not with MyMail so I think that the issue isn't the device but rather MyMail.

While not familiar with that service, if they use the messaging app, check the settings in the messaging app, under email. Mine goes off for 2 min after getting new mail.
this works for all the e62 mail clients i've used (imap, xpressmail, goodlink, blackberry connect, intellisync, and nokia biz center).

Yep, it should default to using the bright notification beacon power stobe for two minutes after receiving an e-mail. It woke me up on the first morning (we're not used to lighning here in CA) and I promptly turned that off!

what is the point of that light by the way, is it only for email notifications? I have been unable to find a true use for it, seems foolish to put a light on just for email.....
