Eliminating Highschool sports!?

Educating the body as well as the mind is the strongest argument plus the fact that sports develop strong social and organizational skills. The school district administrators go after the sports, music and arts programs first because these are the most loved and visible by the community. Threatening to cut these wakes up parents to do something about supporting their schools. The ancient idea that schools should only be teaching the three Rs (readin, rittin an rithmatik) goes to far and shows the immaturity of your elected school officials.

My town is in debt by like 5.5 million, and the school committee is trying to cut the sports to lower the budget. The thing is, the town only puts about $100K towards the sports every year, everything else comes from student fees and game entrance fairs. The high school does have a division 1 sports program and we are a top team in all major sports. Is there any way that the students could peacefully protest against this cut!? WE NEED OUR SPORTS PROGRAM!
