How to regulate voltage. I'm going to be using a battery and have disigned something to warn me when it gets low and need's a recharge. But with this device I need exact voltage. I need a max voltage of 12v and not anything over, but as the battery dies the voltage does need to lower.
To regulate voltage, what's the difference between building a circuit using an IC and using a potentiometer in series with the power supply.
Is there a timer circuit that can actually shut down power. All the ones that I've seen will disconnect main power, reset them selves and turn into an oscillator.
