Please answer and explain as many of these as you can. I have a final on Friday and my teacher gave us this review sheet but didn't go over it with us. Thanks!

1. Find the frequency if R1=47K, R2=10K and C1 = 3.3 micro F
2. Find the duty cycle
3. What happens to F and %D if both resistors are tripled?
4. What causes the out[ut to go high?
5. When is the threshold activated? What happens then?
6. Through which capacitor does C1 discharge through?
7. In what mode is the 555 being used here?

1. Which is the disallowed state? The memory state?
2. What will Q and Q-bar be in the disallowed state?
3. What will the outputs be if S=1 and R=0
4. How do you put this flip-flop into the reset state?


1. Write the decimal number 47 in binary. How is it written in BCD? (I know how to write it in binary, but I don't know what BCD is)
2. How is the number negative 3 written in two's complement?


1. How can a 0 to 5 counter be made? A 0 to 7 counter?
2. What will the display produce if Q2 is 0 all the time (because its grounded or broken)?
3. What can cause a 0 to 9 counter to produce blanks?
4. What would happen if the 4520 outputs (Q0 through Q3) are connected incorrectly to the 4511 inputs (D0 through D3)?
