Looking at the PC board, it appears brown next to a (diode?) that has "1N59" on it. Rather than replacing the whole unit, I wish to replace the diode. However, when I search for 1N59, there appear to be many different versions (that have 1N59, followed by a various other letters and numbers). I have tried to contact the manufacturer, but no reply. Can someone help??
