Two weeks ago I had to get a new transmission, a new timing belt and an oil change on my '98 Honda Accord. Last night my check engine light comes on. Now I hear this electrical popping noise under the hood on the drivers side. It is quite loud. It isn't anything with the oil, we checked thinking maybe they forgot to put the plug in. Oil is fine. It obviously needs to get taken back to the shop tomorrow, but I am scared to even drive it because of the check engine light. I don't want to void the warranty. Anyways, does anyone have any preliminary guesses as to what may be causing this? After spending $2600.00, I am NOT EXCITED about this, at all. I haven't a clue what could be wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
