Electric Dreams DVD due out in April.

I think this is definately a case of Nice Song shame about the film! The song is a classic still played today. The film is long forgeotten and should stay that way. I rented it once in the 80's and it was awful.

It's a great film, I still well up when the computer 'dies'. :(

I have the album too and most of the songs on it are really good. 'Love is Love' and 'The Dream' should have been top 10 hits.

I'll definitely be getting it.

I don't think I've seen it since I saw it at the cinema as a wee laddie. I remember enjoying it then, and the soundtrack is excellent, if only soundtracks these days were half as good.

One day to go and then we can finally watch a good quality copy of 'Electric Dreams'.

I hope my local Asda have a copy in stock or I'll have to go down town.

'citing.

Finally got the DVD of 'Electric Dreams'. Asda didnt have any in & HMV only had 2 copies. Lucky I phoned them up as they opened and got them to reserve a copy.
Just watching it now in 16:9 ratio and stereo sound. Much better than my video copy.
I can die now. :)

Well, just 'Breakdance 2:Electric Boogaloo' to get first.

I watched it a few months ago, late night TV, I was really looking forward to it as the last time I had saw it was at least 20 years ago.

25 minutes later with my finger hovering over the fast forward button constantly I had flicked through the entire film and quite embarrassed I had told my daughter earlier in the evening it was brilliant.

agree sadly its song is way better than the film.

What was I thinking those many years ago.......

but having said that I have been trying to get hold of "buddy's Song" for ages, I know I cannot skit "electric dreams" and want "buddy's song" (chesney hawks,Roger Daltrey ). I will hang my head in shame :o

Oh well, looks like it was just me excited by the DVD release of 'Electric Dreams'. :(

I enjoyed watching it again in DVD quality. Although it is a little dated, what keeps me watching are the song segments, especially 'The Dream' and 'Love is Love' which are basically video promos for the songs.

I wonder if the bit on Harry Hill where he says 'What is love?' in a robotic type voice is from the film, as the computer asks the same question.

I think this film should be used in Artificial Intelligence degrees.
