I'm currently playing through the "Taking Care of Lex" quest for the Thieves Guild. Part of the quest requires the player to enter the Imperial Legion Offices in the Imperial City and steal a certain seal from certain chest. Every single time I go in the offices and open the chest; the seal is not there. I've tried at night, late at night, morning, early morning, late morning, on and on. It's never there, and it's not on the head officer's person either.
Side note: The first time I broke into the offices the chest had a daedric helmet and boots in it, along with some random items and 500+ gold. I took it all, came back the next day and the daedric armor was replenished.
I loaded a save before I unlocked the chest, unlocked it again; and it was filled with different items.
Help please! I really don't want to start the game all over again.
