...elections this year.? Is it fair to forecast that more blacks will enter the political arena in the quest for the presidency in the U.S.A?

I would say it may inspire more blacks who might've been turned off by politics otherwise. But it's hard to say for sure. If Obama wins it will definitely hurt the civil rights industry (Sharpton etc.) because they won't be able to complain as much.
 
I think both him and Hillary Clinton paved the way. Obama worked hard and got this far. Also look how far Hillary came. If that's not inspiring I don't know what is.

Hopefully it opens the eyes of Americans too. Different is ok.
