ok so i got dis p0401 code and my car would have trouble starting. so i take it to the nearest mechanic. anyways he says he can clean the egr valve and everything woud be cool. 2 days later my cars having trouble starting. i take it back. now after i buy a new egr valve for him to install(for free) he says its not the egr valve. its the control valve modulator. so im assuming for diagnostics he shouldve pin pointed the problem right? now i gotta buy a new valve modulator. after its fixed im thinking about suing this guy for wasting my time....any mechanics here know if a broken egr control modulator give my truck problems starting....? it usually turns over......
