Effeminate male characters

What are some affiminate male characters that were sort of implied that they may be gay, but never confirmed.

I am not talking about characters like Gasper (Family Guy), Big Gay Al (South Park), Mr. Garrigion (South Park) that were confirmed as being gay on screen.

I find the characters on kid shows, kind of cool, because the american networks are so consertave, it is fun to watch them slip stuff like that in.

Lexington (Gargoyles), though the Greg Weisman did confirm he was gay, but it was never acknowleged on screen.

Stewie (Family Guy) sometimes at least.

Michael (Proud Family)

Sanjay (Fairly Odd Parents)

Jimmy? (Ed Edd n Edd), this one I am still debating with myself. At times I think Sarah is a girlfriend to him, like between fellow girls. He has a sowing machine, an easy bake oven, and he really pampers himself with his custom sampoo. Maybe he just in touch with his femine side. He it the canadian version of Stewie.

Don't get me wrong, guys can be in touch with their femine side or affiminte, and still be straight.

Sanji gay? If he is (doubt it), then he certainly overcompensates a lot, with him constantly obsessing over Nami and such.

EDIT: Oops, didn't realize there's a character named Sanji on FOP. I thought you were talking about the character from One Piece.

Generally, I get annoyed at the association of effeminate with gay but in the kid-aimed world it's one of the only signifiers allowed in what's not so much a conservative industry but a self-protective one.

Any relationship Lexington (and presumably Brentwood) would have simply wouldn't be depicted with the clarity of Goliath and Elisa's in the forseeable future. Disney tends to do these things in code, from the "Out There" belting Hunchback voiced by openly gay actor Tom Hulce to HSM's Hat Boy.

Well I am sorry, I spell the word wrong in the title thread, could the moderator change "affiminate" to "effeminate".

Anyway Disney doing these types of things, that is what the thread is all about, doing things in code. Here is one more I forgot about.

Butters (South Park) - though he did date a Rasin girl, most of the time he does act effeminate, he did enjoy going undercover as a girl a little to much.

I am not saying, it is not okay for guys to act effeminate. So please don't think I am being anti anything.

Richie Foley (Static Shock)-while his sexual preferences were never brought up on the show, he was based loosely on the character of Rick Stone from the Static comics, who was indeed gay. Creator Dwayne McDuffie said in an interview, "It'll probably never come up on the show, but in my mind, Richie is in fact gay."

He was effeminate in the comics, though it was never confirmed as being gay in the comics either. But he never dated any girls. In the comics, Kole made avancements towards him, and Jericho turned down her advances and it was never explained why, but she said something like "I understand". Not to mention during his childhood his father and brother tessed him for being a sissy.

Effeminate, not affeminate.

In any case, I'd have to definately bring up Harley from Pokemon and Crowler from Yu-gi-oh! GX.

Um, isn't his name Bon Clay? (Kurei may be how it's pronounced in Japanese, but that's because Japanese pronouncation seldom has any "L" sound and uses the "R" sound instead.)

Let's not forget Him from The Powerpuff Girls. He fawns, he simpers, he warps the fabric of reality itself just to play mind games, and he flirts with Mojo Jojo. Either he's as gay as Mardi Gras, or I'll eat a bug.

Carl from Jimmy Neutron. Yes, he has a crush on Jimmy's mom, but he's been known to willingly wear a dress and take interest in manicures. Or maybe he's just a big sissy. Is there a difference

Then there's the fact that he licked the Professor's cheek when he turned Townsville against the girls.

And it surprises me that no one has mentioned Vanity Smurf.
