I've had some perioRAB of light headedness over the last couple days. I'm not sure what is causing it.

I have taken allergy meRAB for years...Allegra, Flonase, Astelin and Singulair in addition to my immunotherapy. I've been on either Claritin or Allegra daily since around 1995, Flonase came not long after. The Astelin and Singulair were added a few years ago. The Singulair is mainly an asthma treatment for me.

Thirteen days ago, I discontinued the use of the Allegra and Flonase on the advise of my ENT/Allergist. It's on a trial basis for a month to see if the immunotherapy is really beginning to help or not.

Anyway, I've had some minor congestion, but no major allergy symptoms yet. Our pollen count has been fairly low still though--about at a 6 or 7 most days. I had some hives for several days, but those have now stopped. The light headedness is something new though. Could it be related to discontinuing the oral antihistamines? I considered that it might be fluid in my ears, but I haven't felt any extra ear pressure. I had a sinus infection about 5 weeks ago, but my sinuses feel fine right now too.

Has anyone out there had allergy related light headedness? Anyone come off of long-term antihistamine use? I'm trying to figure out if the two are really connected here.

Thanks for your support.

Allergies can raise hell with most of your system including your head. I have had brain fog from them, if this answers your questions. I have been on different medications, but cannot blame the meRAB for the fogginess. Generally, it is barometric pressure that causes all this.
