Definitely yes there is a correlation between the two. Here let me give you a point of view. Without education, you can't be successful because you don't even know how to read and write and to solve the fundamental operation in mathematics. How can you be a leader if your not educated. How can you be in the top of the world if you don't know how to read and write.
But there is an exception. There are some people became successful even they are not educated. They use their willingness, courage and strength to strive further achieving their goals.
