hello,
i'm 18 and live in australia.
i have been playing the guitar since i was 12 and have been singing and writing songs since then too..
i didn't think i'd be able to do music as a career so i am currently studying my second preference which is professional writing and editing at uni level. i didn't complete high school, i left just before i finished year 11..
now lately i have been doing a lot of music recordings and showing them to my friends and family, they think i'm great and should pursue music..
my question how...?
i'm at uni doing this professional writing and editing course and it's not like i love it, i find myself writing songs whilst in class and day dreaming about my guitar..
should i quit uni?
i have one idea but it's risky.. i'd like to quit uni and get a good paying job and save for a couple of months and then travel and play at different bars and such.. it's risky though i know, but i could always come back to study right..?
what is your opinion?
