Edimax wireless usb network adaptor Black icon beside the clock keeps coming and going ?

hi all
when i plug in My wireless usb adapter to my pc the black icon that shows " "No Network Adapter Found" disappears for few seconds then it shows again " "No Network Adapter Found" " !?!?!

what could be wrong ?
why my pc doesn't recognize my adapter ?
should i reinstall driver ? would this help ?
