edema of the right leg

i had a blood clot found 31/2 months ago - i have been on a therapudic ceumidin level and wear compression stockings and the swelling has not gone down - it is relentless and very painful - my righ leg is twice the size of my left leg and they keep saying it will go down but it just keeps getting bigger and is painful and exhausting to carry around please help me
 
I think you need to see a new doctor for a second opinion. Do you elevate your leg? and remember...elevated means above the heart, not just propped up. are you drinking enough water? more fluid in = more fluid out. I would seek out a second opinion however, just to be safe.
