This was a question from an exam I just finished taking... I need to know if I got it right or not... (We're allowed to keep the exam; only the scantron is turned in)
Autoworkers laid off from Hot Rod Autoworkers as the result of a recession or contraction in the business is considered:
A. Structurally unemployed
B. Cyclically unemployed
C. Frictionally unemployed
D. Either A or B
E. None of the Above
I chose D (Either A or B) ... Structurally because they could have been laid off for not possessing the correct skills.. and Cyclically due to the contraction (even though cyclical is usually meant for the "seasonal positions") .... so, how bad did I do?
