I have to answer a question.

Violence and drugs:which should we punish?

Suppose you believe the use of some drugs can be a direct cause of violent behavior. There are two ways the law might deal with the problem. It could penalize drug use directly or indirectly, by punishing violent behavior, where or not drug use is its cause, What are the relative advantages of he two approaches?
 
well if you ban drug use, a non violent activity, people wont stop using drugs. They will just sell the drugs illegally. gangs will fight over turf to sell the drugs at highly inflated prices. police will fight the gangs. innocent people will die. to ban drugs is actually to increase violence.
