Echo smartpen 4g..does it work good?

i just bought the 4g echo smartpen.. and i was wonder how good does it work... im about to start college and i read that it was good but i want to know from people who acually have the pen...and how well does the recorder work on it...and does the rocorder work from a distince like if your in a big class??/ what are your review on it???
