I'm trying to build a beginners campaign setting. It'd be my first time DMing or making a setting in general, and I wanted to know what D&D races are more eccentric than others? And they CAN be monsters. They have to have enough intelligence to make a magical item. Also, I want to know, are there any towns, cities, or dwellings where this race in particular lives? Any advice would be helpful, and thank you!
