HEY PEOPLE WATCH OUT!!!!!! there is a guy who is using our vin numbers to either scam or sell stolen bikes on ebay. look at this item 180297423586. THAT IS THE VIN TO MY BIKE!!!!!!!!! i called the seller JOEL and he is full of crap .

I have my 848 listed and he asked for the VIN and I updated my entry thinking it a reasonable request as I've run CarFax checks when shopping myself plus the item entry includes a place for it anyway. I reported him as well. Scumbags everywhere...

just a tip:

Do it ninja style, ninja style means like don't talk to them and report it to ebay right under their nose. That will kill them.

I saw his listing on eBay. He is selling both 848 and 1098R with no reserve and free shipping. Also, the odd thing is that he mentioned he would not even want to meet you in person to do the transaction noting that he was held in gun point in the past. His account was also just newly created with only 3 transactions. He bought 3 items all under $3 to show everyone he had a positive feedback.

Here is the account he used (it's no longer registered obviously). MovieFreak, good catch! I hope he gets what's coming to him

A lot of times they take the VIN from the listing and then they send you an email saying that hey, click here there is somebody else selling your bike, you don't look at the link and it is not a link to ebay, although it looks exactly like it. Instead, you are a victim of phising attempt and you being so worked about it, enter your own username and pwd and voila, you don't even realize what had happened..
