Hey Health Board, just a quick intro cause I am new..
I am 16, about to be 17 year old gir,l & my question is how many calories should I be consuming a day? I am 5'3, around 120 lbs, I'm very athletic. I run 6 days of the week, & I mix weight training on 2 or 3 of those days, & bike ride on the other day & I also dance sometimes. I run around 20 mis a week & bike ride between 12-15 mis. I lift upper & lower body for 30 mins-1hr. I try to eat just 2000 calories a day, but sometimes its between that & 2500 (a little more or a little less). All I drink is water, gatorade, and somtimes grape juice or milk. I don't eat a whole lot of meat or at least not everyday & when I do its usually chicken. I'm a lil bit on the anemic side, I have exercised induced asthma, acid reflux & vagsnal synocope but I think I've pretty much gotten over the last one. So am I eating enough or should I eat more? Cause I do eat the right things, I just don't know how much I need of them? Please help..
