Eating before surgery?

defying gravity

I have my wisdom-teeth surgery at 9:10 am. I was told not to eat or drink 6 hrs before. As it was, I was DYING of thirst while working late on a project and had a small glass of water, and then nibbled on some chicken strips, thinking it was about 1 am, instead of 3 am. So I technically broke the no-food six hrs before deal; I know the big cautionary for not eating before a procedure like this is because of regurgitation dangers.

I'm the most paranoid person in the world, probably. So help set my mind at rest, or freak me out further.

So, question-- I literally had about a full chicken strip, and a glass of water, and I'm basically wondering if it'll be digested quick enough. Does anyone know how long it takes for such a small bit of food/water to digest?

Thx oodles.
