Easy to use cellphone from AT&T?

[Certified APBT lover (FF)]

I am looking for a new cellphone for my mother's birthday.
It has to be somewhat easy to use and is easy to text with.
Something with a good size KeyBoard.

I went to my local AT&T store and they were all recommending the Matrix, but looking at the reviews online.. it's not very good.

What do you recommend?

The only problem is that she doesn't want the xenon because I have it. Haha.

The Xenon has a nice keyboard and a touch screen. The Propel has a keyboard as well.
