EASY 10 pts: Does it cost extra $ to keep same phone number with At&T wireless?

I am on a family plan that shares 750 minutes among 4 people in a 2 year contract which recently ended. All 4 of us want to keep the same number simply because we don't want the inconvenience of giving everyone we know a new set of numbers, but we don't want to pay more money for this. So should we sign a new contract or keep the existing one? DOES IT COST EXTRA MONEY TO KEEP THE SAME NUMBER IF WE ARE STAYING WITH AT&T???
