I have two wires (very thin but still OK) that were cut from their plastic casing (cord). So now I have two pairs of halves from this cord & would like to put them back together again. I was able to join them together, but want a shielding over them. They are joined by scotch tape. I removed the scotch to tape to adjust them a bit, so I know it's holding but not firmly.
Other than soldering it, is there a way to put a casing to join them again permanently? I've done soldering in the past. They are super small wires, maybe 10 strands each side. Could i maybe melt some plastic over the wires (no tape)?
