That is the best cartoon in the universe. It is about an earthworm which a super suit fell on it then he got bigger and had big eyes with humen mouth.
And he becaem a groovy guy.

Featuring the voices of Dan Castalenetta (Homer Simpson) as Jim, Jeff Bennett as Peter Puppy, Kath Soucie as Princess What's-Her-Name and Andrea Martin (SCTV) as Queen Slug-For-A-Butt.

I saw the show, as well as played the video game that inspired the show. Unfortunately, Earthworm Jim never aired on Cartoon Network due to it's being owned by Universal Studios.

Other voices include: Charlie Adler as Prof. Monkey-for-a-Head, Jim Cummings as Psy-Crow and Bob, Edward Hibbert as Evil the Cat, and John Kassir as Henchrat and Snott.

Earthworm Jim ran on Kids WB from September 9, 1995 to October 12, 1996.

Based on the video game franchise of the same name created by Doug TenNapel.

Yeah, the last 2 episodes premiered as part of Freakout Friday an early morning block that aired a selected show with the last new episodes of Freakzoid. It and Freakzoid were pulled from the Saturday schedule.

The series was completely gone from Kids' WB in early January 1997, airing two reruns of earlier episodes on Freakout Friday.

And thus began the horrific slide into the crap-blivion we have now. I was furious when they cancelled it. And they replaced it with the same watered down, over edited, "Bugs and Daffy Show" Looney Tunes shorts bcause of that Space Jam movie. They really should have let it finish it's SatAm run instead of that stupid "Freaky Friday" stuff.

Indeed, it was the best video game series out there. I think it even surpassed the game itself.... mainly because of that stupid level with the glass domed hovercraft that's impossible to control. God, I hate that thing.

It was a very good series, and one of the many reasons the 1st season of Kids' WB! was one of their greatest (in terms of quality) seasons. BTW does anyone know where I can see the first Kids' WB! schedule?

Don't know where you can find it, but from what I recall:

9:00 Animaniacs
9:30 Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries
10:00 Animaniacs (I think it had two airings)
10:30 Pinky & The Brain'
11:00 Freakazoid
11:30 Earthworm Jim

In Indiana it aired on Sunday mornings as opposed to Saturday for some reason.

Actually that is incorrect. Freakazoid aired at 10 am and Earthworm Jim aired at 10:30 am from 1995 to 1996. However, their times switched to 11 am and 11:30 am like in your schedule for September and October 1996. In late October, both shows moved to 8 am and 8:30 am until they were both pulled in late November 1996 from Saturdays. I don't know why I remember this after 10 years but for some reason I do. I used to go out of my way to tape every EWJ episode so that may have something to do with it.

Tell me about it. I remember missing "The Wizard of Ooze" episode of Earthworm Jim due to the sudden schedule change and didn't get to actually see it until it appeared on YouTube a few years ago. I distinctly remember my TV Guide erroneously listing it as still being on Saturdays weeks after it was moved to Fridays. Thank god nowadays for the internet.

Due to the show's brilliant writing, I liked it a bit better than the videogames myself too. I also have trouble with that specific level and just use a cheat to skip it. I have the Sega Genesis version.

A super suit created by professor monkey for a head was made for pulsating queen slug for a butt with the battery of the Gods to power it, it was delivered and lost falling to earth by Psy-Crow, the suit fell on an earthworm and he had suddenly eyes and mouth like a human and decided to defend earth.

A puppy vacuumed by a cleaner went to evil the cat who put in him an evil spirit that made the puppy talk, walk and more intelligent but if hurt or angry turns to a monster which Jim fought and tickled the beast turning him into his thinking self ang making him his sidekick.

Queen Slug for a Butt has a sister rebelling against her who Jim loves but she doesn't feel the same about him.

Villains are:
1. Queen Slug for a Butt
2. Professor monkey for a head
3. Psy-Crow
4. Evil the cat and his Hench-Rat
5. Bob the evil talking Gold-Fish and his servant Cat

Every time zone/market was different. Kid's WB always aired from 9 to 12 (with F! and EWJ in the 11/11:30 position for that first year) in my area. I don't recall what the 2nd season schedule was like (as I was working weekend mornings then), but for that first year, KWB always took up the 9-noon position.
