im in high school and i need help planning out this lab.

"In this lab, students are challenged to determine how much gas is within a bottle of soda--this serves as an analog for understanding magma chambers and the explosive nature of volcanic eruptions.
The question for this investigation is: "How many milliliters of gas are in a bottle of soda?"
The pre-lab assignment is to describe and illustrate some ideas on how to answer the question. There are a number of ways to approach this problem--some of which were discussed and demonstrated in class.
The following materials will be supplied; other materials may be
flexible hose/tubing
balloon
clay
100 mL graduated cylinder
empty soda bottles w/ caps
plastic box/tub "shoebox"
whacking stick
string
ruler
triple beam balance
Each team will then have one full period to confer and finalize their plan before executing their plan and collecting data the following day."

I already have a couple of ideas. can you guys come up with something?
