Yes, I know to let it warm up about 2-3 min before taking off and also I did stand by the tail to listen to what it sounds like. It starts up fine, idles fine for about 2 min then all of a sudden the idle would decrease, start to sputter like it's not getting gas for about 20 sec or so then it would come back up like someone stepped on the accelerator a little and then it comes back up to normal idle. Gas tank is not metal and it has never done this before on early idling. Now it's every time it sits for awhile. One other thing, during one time it was doing that sputtering I have it in gear with my foot on the brake, right before it came back to normal idle it edged forward like some one tapped the accelerator.

it sounds like its "hunting" hunting for fuel, thats when the revs at low idle rise up and down and its caused by the governor in your injector pump. it might just need adjusting.
