Early Footage Of Your Favorite Bands

Red Hot Chili Peppers in the movie Tough Guys back in 86. I loved this movie as a kid and this was my first introduction to the band. :)

Heh...so much for evening skimming the 1-page thread before posting...that was in post #8. ;)

The song is very Cure-ish before he starts singing. And yeah, Charaberlin looks funny. :D

Kind of funny to see Claudio with shorter hair and glasses, sort of makes him look more like the Dungeons & Dragons nerd that he is. :D Cool footage though, two of their best songs (Delirium Trigger #1 since I started listening to them).

Am I the only person who actually likes the Primus live performances when the guitar is higher in the mix than normal? I love Les and all but Ler is awesome too and they have a completely different sound when his guitar takes the lead. For example, this version of 'Wynona' when the Letterman crew had no idea how to mix a Primus performance:

Tegan and Sara playing Proud live in 2000. They hadn't even turned 20 yet. Great stuff!

Here's some early R.E.M., from 1983 when they performed on Letterman. The song is South Central Rain, but in the interview clip at the beginning they say the song is yet to be named :)

Not quite early footage in the same sense as everyone's posted already, but nevertheless...

^ Not only featuring David Bowie (blink and you'll miss him), but also directed by none other than Ridley Scott.
