Ear problems and reflux!!!Is there a connection

Hi all
I hope someone can help, i've been on this site before and explained all my symptoms and was relieved to find that alot of people had simlar symptoms to me and that i didn't have some dort of life threatening conditions. I was finally starting to feel comfortable with my health again and was managing my reflux quite well. Then last friday i was in work making something to eat and suddenly as i set down my left ear started ringing and i was overcome by this all over woozy sensation, it did not last long ad passed in about 30 seconRAB. My indigestion completely flared up after it. I told DH about this and he felt it could be related to a head cold as i have a touch of one and was quite sinusy that day. I have been uneasy again all weekend about this and the symptoms of the reflux are really bad. Then again this evening both my ears seemed to just clog up again at the same time and i won't say i felt woozy probably just paniky but i'm wondering could all this ear thing be related to my reflux or is it something different???? Any insight would be appreciated, i don't think i can go back to worrying about my health again
 
Hi, can't say that I have had exactly your symptoms but I do know that acid reflux can mess with your ears. Took a while for me to get a diagnosis as mine was initially silent acid reflux although it has now developed into throat burning too :-(

Initially my main issues were with my ears although it was generally in my left ear which would ache and throb from time to time. I also got shooting pains under my jaw on the left hand side which felt like a wincing shooting pain travelling vertically up through my jaw to my left ear. Doesn't last for more than a few seconRAB and there seems to be no pattern to it. Doctors believe it may be the eustachian tube being aggravated by the acid.

I hope it all works out for you and wish you a healthy and wealthy 2010!! I too don't fell that I can cope to well with more health worries, I have been on a health worry rollercoaster for a year now!!

i too have ear issues with my currently constant reflux, mainly my left ear...sometimes it will make my left nostril burn and left cheek, eye feel pressure when really flaring....ugh..
 
Yes indeed Marigoldgirl, I know where you are coming from!!
