Ear Problem? Tooth Problem? Both?

It started as a horrible ear ache one night in October. The horrible ear ache turned into a horrible toothache, but after a few minutes both went away. The pain came and went until I finally gave in and went to the doctor. I was told that I had fluid pressing against my ear from a sinus infection and that was what was causing the pain. I was given antibiotics, but they didn't help. I had to wait until I got my new insurance before going back to the doctor where I got a second round of antibioics which seemed to work.

The ear pain seemed to clear up, but there was a problem with my tooth. My dentist found nothing wrong with it. It only seems to hurt when I bite into something really hard like stale potato chips or a hard bagal. I also have sensitivity to cold liquids, but I have always had that problem.

I have become aware that I have been clenching my teeth. I used to only do this when I was really angry, but I know I notice it more during the day. My bite is off and it seems that most of the pressure is being put on that one tooth that is bothering me.

For the past few days the discomfort has moved from the tooth to my back teeth on the bottom. I feel it in my gums and in my jaw. When it gets in my jaw I also feel it in my ear.
