Each time I start my computer up Spybot finds something that is trying to

change the registry ...? ... it's called ctfmon.exe. Does anyone know what this is, if it is harmful or if I should allow it. I have denied it so far as I didn't know what it was.
 
That can happen for many reasons. The most common one is that you just downloaded something that requires "start on start up" so every time you start up, that program is trying to download itself or run itself. Should be nothing to worry about but if you haven't downloaded anything just deny the change and run a scan
