E815 Working Wap but MMS?

Hey I flashed a E815 to Cricket and got Wap working great but MMS error's out at 93% everytime, this is with Alltel firmware on the phone. Has anyone messed with this phone or figured out MMS to get past 93% and send the message?
 
This week we played around with an E815, an E816 and a V3M all flashed. The only way we could get the MMS to work on any of them was if we added unlimited WAP to the acct.

Without enabling WAP, the MMS would look like it was working but only "send" 90% (give or take a few %) and then error out. This held true for all 3 phones.

We could open the WAP home page (didn't try to go any further), but MMS would not work on a non-WAP enabled acct.

It doesn't make any sense, and it was EXTREMELY frustrating trying to figure it out, but that's what we found.

your right this doesn't make sense. i'm willing to bet MMS was not enabled until you had WAP turned on.

The following install codes are required for MMS:
DAT (Enables Data services on the account)
ZMM (Turns on Picture messaging)

if ZMM is not on the account the message will usually send most of the way (sometimes up to 99%) then fail and give an error like "Sending Not Allowed" or "Network Service Not Available"

B1 & OP: do you know what the error message you were getting was?
 
Yeah in my area $50 dollar is highest plan which I have and it always error's out just like you said right around 90% everytime but wap works great. I know it's very frustrating, so close though.
 
Hey what firmware are you using, I got Alltel but maybe genetic or US Cellular will work. Have you tried with any other firmware?
 
We're using Alltel 5.05.00R on both the E815s and E816s. We also sell Alltel so we flash all the phones to Alltel first so they can be sold as Alltel phones. If someone wants one on Cricket, it only takes a few minutes to get it working from there.

We haven't tried any other firmware.
 
The error was "Unable to send. Resend now?"

It would also error when a pic was sent to the phone. It would get a message stating that it was "Unable to download at this time."

Both DAT and ZMM were on the account. Pic messaging worked fine with a Cricket V3C, but it errored out every time with a flashed V3M, E815 and E816. Moved her up to the $50 and everything worked fine. I think the only data code added with the $50 is WP0....but I could be wrong.

Luckily she was a patient customer. She dropped it off and we were able to play around for a few hours.
 
I wonder if the problem is related to the MMS message HTTP Header as you said a cricKet V3C worked fine but the other Alltel phones did not. The Alltel phones would still have the Alltel header unless it was changed in a SEEM edit or with RSD general or PST MMS provisioning. It is in SEEM 29bb and should be X-Cricket-MDN:
I don't know if that is the cause but is easy to overlook.
 
Weird but I got it working, it just took a couple days for it to start. Maybe since it was a new account, that is the only thing I can think of. It's working great now though.
