E71, Blackberry or something else?

So, I'm looking for a good, reliable phone. I have a Nokia 5800 and it's been a disaster lately. I just can't take the errors and the crashes. I want a phone whose focus is voice and text messaging. A camera, wifi, email and GPS would be nice additions, but not required. Needs to work with ATT, but not come from them (i.e. I want to keep my cheap data plan). Also, it needs to be sub-$200, preferably down closer to $100.

So far I've looked at the E71. I like the keyboard with it's autocorrection and the feature set is good. Though I'd also like to know if there are any blackberries I might look at? I've heard alot of good things about them, especially in the speed and reliability dept.

Is this a good price for an E71 ($149.99+$35 shipping)? Are those ATT branded or full unlocked?

Finally, any idea what I could sell my used 5800 for?

Thanks,
Cody

If you go the BB route, you will need to have a BB data plan, a $30 add on plus the text package if you use ATT. In addition, ATT will require that plan if you put a BB on their network.

If all you need is voice and text, any phone should work for you. You don't really need a PDA/Smartphone unless you want the QWERTY keypad.

That link you provided for the E71, I'm pretty sure if it's coming from china it probably isn't the NAM version you would need to get 3G service.
