E70-2 Where to buy/price check!

As of right now, the Nokia store in Chicago is selling them, local pickup only. Jonny was saying something about $490 US after taxes? Dont quote me on that, I could be off.

As a Cingular subscriber in the Bay Area, I got mine for $292 after taxes and a 2 year contract for the E70-2. I believe without the contract it retails for $399. I had the store special order it for me so I can pick it up later this week.

Where are you talking about? The store in Chicago?
I called them and of course as said they dont do phone orders. The guy that I spoke to said that I should expect it on Nokiausa's website no later than a couple of weeks.

Someone falsely accused me of trying to circumvent eBay fees with my shipping price, so my listing was deleted. I've relisted it with lower shipping for all those still interested, and I'd prefer to answer any questions in the forum now since it'll be faster for me to respond anyway.

eBay E70-2

I just went to the Cingular store to see if they had any information on when the E70 would be in and the dude told me they would have them available in December. Said they were "testing" them. uh-huh.
Anyone know about T-mobile? Does anyone have any experience buying an unlocked phone at an independant store and getting a discount on a phone by signing a contract?

Also heard that the Nokia Flagship store in NYC will be opening on Wednesday. That would be a great place to look for the E70 as well.

I think someone keeps sabotaging my listing with false claims. I've been told I'm circumventing fees with my high shipping cost, when it's the same that I've used for all my phones I've shipped FedEx 2 Day.

There's been problems on ebay as people will discount their prices but jack up the shipping, thereby looking cheaper, but still costing more. I guess they implemented a policy whereby you can complain. Ebay/paypal makes commision off of sales, so a lower price, with higher shipping will affect their bottom line.

That's what I'm trying to contact them about. I'm being very careful when answering questions regarding the price now because of this. I'm not trying to make profit off shipping. I just shipped something lighter than a phone 2 Day and it was $0.64 short of $20, so I don't understand the problem. It has a bid now, and I'm fine with that. I may shorten it to a one day auction if I have to, just to complete the sale.

I'd like to bid on your auction, but it's been 5 years since I've used eBay, and my old account has a -1 rating (I don't even recall what the circumstances were regarding that feedback); would it be possible for a rating waiver/exemption?

Thanks!

I think I'm going to have to wait for a definitive posting of specifications on nokiausa. If the phone truly lacks 3G and wifi, then it's wildly overpriced. If those specs are accurate, it's basically a 6820 with a large screen (and S60 of course). I loved the 6820 and was planning to love this one, but let's see the specs.
