E65 has died

Only had this fab phone a week, installed fring and some themes from here, today the screen is blank, with a few white lines on it, it wont do anything!! anyone had this happen? wondering if it was something i installed? thanks

might have been something ya installed ya.........maybe try the hard reset

Hold down * and 3 and SEND key with the phone powered off....once you have all those held down then power on the phone and then release

It's been reported that the soft/hard resets don't work on all the e65's.

It's a defective model. Just exchange it for a new one.

I suspect it might be one of the unofficial themes, because I had a similar problem previously with my (Series 40) 6270. I applied an original theme, powered off and on again, and no problems since then. I also removed the unofficial theme from my handset.

Of course it could be a virus or other nasty and, yes, you should have an anti-virus program on a Series 60 phone. I use F-Secure, and it works well.

I don't think F Secure would've helped you. I don't think there's a virus for 3rd Edition to date. 2nd Edition is a different story entirely. . .
