E62 Email received alert...

quick question...
i tried searching but couldnt find the answer in a prev thread...

so, i have my e62 set up to receive imap mail thru the built-in client... but when it receives mail, the light simply flashses... there is no longer an audible/vibrating alert... the alert still occurs if i receive regualr text messages... just not for email...

i have verified that an alert is selected for received emails in the profiles area and that alerts are turned on in the email settings area...
any other ideas?

I use mail for exchange and in order for alerts to work for new mail messages I must selecct the e-mail option 'pop-up for new mail.' Maybe there is a similar option for mailboxes set up to use IMAP?
 
Did you ever resolve this problem? I seem to be having the same issue on my N73 now trying to receive regular POP email via the built in client.
