Earlier I searched for a way to pause an audio book so I could come back to it later.
This problem and many others was solved when I discovered that one can switch between open apps. Hold down the softkey to the left of the joystick and a menu of running applications appears. You can reversibly switch between them, answer the phone, take calls, etc.
An app remains in a fixed state so long as the phone is on.
This is a wonderful feature. I suppose RTFM is as true as ever.
My book playback problem is almost completely solved. I say "almost" because while the built-in music player can be paused, it can't fast forward or rewind. - Do you know of a player that includes a FF & RW feature?
